Talk Is Action!

Here are ways you can join the conversation today.

Dialogues

The DOR Series is a series of conversations that are structured, backed, formatted, and facilitated to set an environment for open, honest conversation. The format guides participants through a series of questions that helps them explore their initial thoughts using the factual materials that follow the race throughline. This helps them unpack their flawed understanding, gain clarity, and gain language and tools for talking about race.

Outreach Committee

In order to advance the DORLA mission from dialogue into action, a committee of five DORLA alumni (including one current member of the DORLA board of directors) will evaluate submitted civic projects and choose a maximum of two per year.

If you're interested in fostering genuine conversations and helping to end racism, now is the time to become a DOR Facilitator! As a facilitator with DORLA, you'll have the opportunity to lead engaging and educational conversations. The DOR facilitator training program will provide you with the tools and skills needed to guide the dialogue and impact everyday conversations with those around you. Join the growing network of DOR facilitators worldwide and register for an upcoming training session.

Facilitators

“The course materials closely aligned with the dialogue that our group engaged in each week, and through this dialogue, our small group was able to make connections with the lessons of the past and the attitudes and mindset that have carried into our collective present. Our moderators, Maxine and Perry, contributed greatly to the growth of our understanding each week by facilitating our discussions and connecting the course materials with the context of our current social landscape. Overall, DOR was a fabulous experience - one that I will speak of very highly in my recommendations to friends and colleagues.”
